LAHORE: Health Secretary Jawwad Rafique Malik suspended Gujranwala DHQ Hospital Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Anwer Amaan on account of negligence on duty, poor cleanliness and performance.

According to a handout, the Gujranwala district coordination officer (DCO) paid a surprise visit to the DHQ Hospital and reported to the secretary about the poor performance of the MS.

The secretary immediately took action and suspended the MS. He also said that on the directions of the chief minister, senior officers had started paying surprise visits to hospitals and strict action would be taken against administrative doctors on poor performance and cleanliness in hospitals.
