Suspected militants attack checkpost, kill two policemen in Chaman

QUETTA: Suspected militants on Tuesday killed two policemen in Balochistan’s Chaman district.

The assailants opened fire at a police check post in Boghra road area of Chaman, and killed two policemen on the spot.

“Two police officials were killed, and a passerby was seriously wounded in the attack,” said a police official.

The injured passerby was shifted to Civil Hospital Chaman for medical treatment.

Police and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. The assailants managed to flee the scene of the crime.

Security officials initiated an investigation in to the attack and termed it as an episode of target killing.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
