LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court indicted on Tuesday 46 suspects, among them police officials and workers of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), in the Model Town firing case in which 14 people were killed and over 100 others injured.

The court framed charges against 41 PAT workers and five police officials, including the former SHO of Faisal Town police station Amir Saleem, Assistant Sub-Inspector Azhar Mahmood and constable Naveed.

All the suspects pleaded not guilty.

The court directed the prosecution to produce witnesses on Oct 28.

The court has already declared PAT leaders Dr Tahirul Qadri, his sons Hasan Mohiyuddin and Husain Mohiyuddin, Raheeq Abbasi, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Sheikh Fayaz and Shabbir Fayaz proclaimed offenders.
