The Nazim said computers had been purchased from the funds of women councillors.
The district government, he added, had purchased furniture amounting to Rs40.5 million, which would be provided to schools in phases in various tehsils.
He directed the officials concerned to construct a boundary wall at the girls school at a cost of Rs200,000. Mr Kiani also announced to provide equipment to the new science laboratory of the school.
He said the recruitment process of about 1,000 teachers was in the final stage aimed to reduce shortage of staff in government schools. He said the recruitment would be made on merit.—APP
