KARACHI: An antiterrorism court declared on Wed­­nesday former chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Mov­ement Karachi Tanzeemi com­m­­ittee Hammad Siddiqui and two others proclaimed offenders (PO) in a case pertaining to financing and instigating terrorism.

Faisal Masroor and Mujibullah Siddiqui, said to be officials of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation land department, along with their absconding accomplices have been booked for allegedly committing irregularities in land records, making fraudulent schemes of land allotment and land-grabbing through what was described as ‘China-cutting’ and using the embezzled money for terrorism.

The police chargesheeted both the arrested suspects and named Hammad Siddiqui, Saleem Qureshi and Shakir, alias Langra, as absconding accused in the investigation report.

Declaring them proclaimed offenders, the court issued life warrants against them saying that the case against them be kept dormant till their arrest.
