Divorced Pakistanis speak 18,000 words daily about Imran-Reham divorce: Study

A recently published study shows that many divorced couples in Pakistan haven’t discussed their own divorces as much as they have discussed Imran Khan and Reham’s break up.
Parveen Shahkeen, the lead author of the study, conducted a survey of 500 couples from across Pakistan to uncover this fact.
“Our results showed a surprising trend. The couples we surveyed clearly stated they had talked about the Khans' breakup more than their own divorces,” she said.
The study, which was originally meant to look at the time it takes for divorces to be finalised in Pakistan, took an unexpected turn when researchers uncovered this ‘Khan effect’.
“On average, a divorced couple will speak roughly 18,000 words a day about the Imran-Reham divorce,” Parveen shared.
Over 80% of respondents to the study indicated that they were “very concerned” that the divorce was a result of Reham trying to poison the PTI chairman, as a senior journalist had alleged on TV.

The team is now looking to study the extent to which different segments of society discuss Imran Khan, post-divorce.

How poor this study is can be judged by the extraordinary amount of words stated. Even if we assume a person speaks three words in 2 seconds. according to this study this gives us 12000 seconds to speak these words which equates to roughly over 3 hours of talking which is absolutely ridiculous.

To interview 500 divorced couples in Pakistan in just 10 days and compile a report, is very quick work! It is not easy to find and get the views of 50 divorced couple a day. They are still a very rare commodity in Pakistan.

@Saad khan And how poor is this reply of the analysis, which says over 3 hrs a day for those 1800 words. If only taking into consideration the numbers stated in this reply. Twp seconds for three words (3 x 2 = 6). For 1800 words, 6 x 300 = 1800 sec. 1800/60 =30 min. How did you come you with your number ? Half an hour for gossip is a plausible figure.

@Confused 2 - your calculation of time is also incorrect
2 seconds 3 words which means in 1 min 90 words because there are 30 two in 1 min, so 90 words per minutes and 1800 words will be fired out in 20 mins.

Not 1800 it's 18000, which means 200 mins and it's equal to 3hours and 20 mins and not possible unless they have nothing else to do

This a sad scenario that Imran Khan being the only VIP who came to Pakistan merely to do welfare services for the millions of havenots. And succeeded to build a unique Hospital in the similitude of Agha Khan foundation social services. But evil did followed him in this crusade too and even influenced his domestic life which is too cruel and inhuman. But again the response to his such involvement and subjected to conspiracy most of our mass media didn't fell down and instead further scandalized the issue. And this is the point make one wonder if mass media is educating the public or erecting and overthrowing a cult that they are basically creating. People got to be provided with truth so that they may know about their foe around the world and friends too.
