Despite the fact that we live in an age of technological advancement where social media has overtaken all other media in terms of viewership, it is strange that not much is written about those who are doing a fantastic job in the virtual world.

A case in point is comedian Danish Ali. His videos, which he regularly releases on the Internet, are a brilliant, humorous study of Pakistani society and of those cultures that think they are superior to other cultures.

One of his recent skits was about making clocks, a funny and satirical take on an incident in which a 14-year-old Muslim boy was arrested in the US for taking a homemade clock to school. The good thing is that the comedian is doing all of that without giving two hoots about mainstream media, and the number of his fans on the Internet has crossed the half-a-million mark.

Keep it coming, Danish A. Hit ’em where it hurts most!
