LAHORE: Vice-president of Pakistan Football Federation (Faisal Hayat group) Sardar Navid has dispelled the impression that anything wrong was done in dealing with the World Cup-2014 tickets which the PFF booked for its sponsors and other people who were part and parcel of the federation.

Talking to Dawn, Sardar said the PFF booked the tickets of different categories but the FIFA sent few tickets around USD 7500 only, which were very low in number against the demand. He said the PFF also decided to give tickets to only those sponsors and people related to the PFF who would also support the federation by providing sponsorship.

He said the PFF received a sponsorship under that programme amounting to Rs 8 to 10 lacs, the records of which is with the PFF.

He said Col Farasat, who then was dealing with the tickets, informed him that ticket for the opening ceremony was still in the store and which were offered on internet.

Sardar said his email was also hacked and he had the right to take action against the culprits under cyber crime. The World Cup-2014 was held in Brazil.
