GUJRAT: An Indian girl and a Swat youth working in Gujrat have contracted a court marriage here in the city.

Amirul Nisa, 22, belonging to Narsa village of district Dhan Baad in the Indian state of Jharkhand, had developed friendship with Ijaz Ali, 24, through Facebook about one and a half years back. Her friendship with Ijaz, a mobile phone technician in the city, turned into a love affair. Nisa recently got a Pakistani visa and reached Gujrat where they contracted court marriage on Nov 3.

However, the newlywed Indian national says she is having problems in getting registration with the local police station which should be resolved.

Talking to the media, she said Pakistanis were very loving and caring people and she was feeling at home due to the affection being accorded to her by her in-laws. She said there was negative propaganda against Pakistan in India which was baseless.
