KARACHI: Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani, President of the Pakistan National Awami Party, last night made an impassioned appeal to the people of Pakistan to remain prepared to face the Indian aggression unitedly.

He said India would once again attack Pakistan after getting more arms. The period of cease-fire, he apprehended, India would use to strengthen its forces to once again invade Pakistan. This threat, he said, called for continued vigilance and greater unity among the people to enable them to face the threat resolutely and with greater national cohesion.

Maulana Bhashani was addressing a big public meeting at Patel Park, held under the aegis of the Karachi National Awami Party. Speaking about the unity among the people of Pakistan the Maulana said that during his 80 years of life he had never seen such unity among the people as was seen during the Indian invasion. The need of the hour is to perpetuate this unity to meet the Indian aggression, he said.

Earlier, soon after his arrival in Karachi from Dacca yesterday morning Maulana Bhashani addressed the NAP workers where he charged the United States for betraying Pakistan and helping India in her aggression.
