BAHAWALPUR: Punjab Minister for Special Education Asif Saeed Manias launched on Thursday the Punjab Inclusive Education Project in Bahawalpur.

He said educational facilities and hearing aids would be provided to the children with special needs.

He said the government would spend Rs100 million on the project in Bahawalpur and Muzaffargarh districts, while the next year Multan, Vehari, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal would be included in the programme.

HANGED: A sectarian convict of Khanewal was hanged at New Central Jail, Bahawalpur, on Thursday.

Muhammad Nadeem, alias Deani, in 1997 had killed Syed Zahearul Hssan Tirmzi in his house in Khanewal city.

CHEQUE: Rashid Ahmed, whose son Muhammad Aamir had died in the Sundar Estate factory collapse, received a cheque for Rs500,000 from MPA Kazim Peerzada and DCO Imran Sikindar Baloch. The Punjab Workers’ Welfare Board issued the cheque.
