German football team evacuates hotel after bomb scare in France

PARIS: The Germany football team were forced to change their hotel in Paris on Friday, after a bomb scare at their luxury accommodation ahead of their prestige friendly against France later in the day.

A police investigation was ongoing at the Hotel Molitor in the plush western region of Paris with all rooms being checked for any signs of suspicious evidence.

The world champions, will head to the Stade de France later on Friday, to take on the Euro 2016 hosts in the first meeting since Germany eliminated France 1-0 in the quarter-finals of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
