Career Gear 2015 is a platform to introduce Iqra University's (IU) undergraduates, graduates and alumni to various companies and industries in the country, offering them a wide range of career opportunities to choose from.

Iqra University organised a job fair called, Career Gear 2015 at its Gulshan Campus, on November 12, 2015.

The job fair's objective was to connect hundreds of candidates with employers to experience the perfect job interview. Employers and organisations offering full-time and internship opportunities joined IU to discuss career options within their firms.

Job applicants will participated in face to face interviews which were conducted throughout the day with local and national recruiters. For job seekers, a visit to the fair was a huge investment in their job search process and career development.

Iqra University had planned to provide holistic, inclusive and high quality employment opportunities for their students and also to further nurture meaningful learning experiences for the students.

Over 200 students of Iqra University's Gulshan Campus participated in Career Gear 2015 organised by the Corporate Liason Unit.

The concept of the event was to bridge the gap between corporates and students, in order to increase knowledge and available job opportunities among leading companies of Pakistan.

Multinational and local small-medium enterprises (SME) actively participated in the event. Companies which participated showed strong interest in student profiles.

Event layout was smartly divided into areas of interest for students. Companies seeking graduates in the field of marketing, finance and supply chain were arranged in separate rooms,

40 volunteers were available to ensure a smooth flow of events during Career Gear 2015.

Feedback received by participating employers was positive and resulted in the students gaining valuable experience which would help them when they enter their professional lives.
