KARACHI, Oct 27: Sindh Education Minister Irfanullah Khan Marwat has said that the KESC will soon establish a sub-division office in his constituency, where the electricity consumers will get one-window facility.

The minister stated this while inaugurating a 250 KVA PMT in Sector-E of Akhtar Colony, Jamshed Town, on Monday. KESC Chief Engineer Shabbir Solangi, Zonal Manager Shakil Ahmed, Executive Engineer M. Saeed and Jamshed Town UC-I Nazim Malik Akhtar were also present on the occasion.

Appreciating the efforts of KESC, Mr Marwat said that the corporation was carrying out system improvement work on a fast pace. This was the third PMT, which he inaugurated this month, the minister added.

He expressed hope that the installation of 16 PMTs in his constituency, which had been pledged by KESC Managing Director Tariq Saddozai, would soon be completed.

The minister informed area people that the KESC would soon set up a sub-division in this area to cater to the growing demand of electricity.

Addressing the local residents, Shabbir Solangi said that people were facing problems of low voltage and fluctuations before the installation of this PMT. Such problems would be solved with the installation of this PMT, he said.

The corporation, he said, had also set up the facility of back-feeding for sectors A, B and C of Akhtar Colony. He said that four new schemes for these sectors and one scheme for Sector-E in Kashmir Colony were in final stage. —APP
