KARACHI: Losing finalist of the 40th national snooker championship Shahram Changezi on Monday became the first Pakistani to make exit from the IBSF world snooker championship in the Egyptian city of Hurghada.
According to results available here, Changezi, who lost two of the five group matches, fell prey to Saudi Arabian Omar Alajlani 2-4 in the last 88 round match.
Alajlani fought back from 1-2 down to post 86-25, 14-82, 56-73, 75-2, 71-48, 95-0 victory over his opponent.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s unbeaten trio comprising Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Sajjad and Abdul Sattar will be up against their opponent’s in the last 64 round matches on Wednesday.
Asif takes on Alex Taubman of the Wales while Sajjad and Sattar faces Ali Jalil Ali of Iraq and Lukas Kleckers of Germany respectively.
