MIANWALI: A union council chairman-elect along with his supporters on Saturday allegedly attacked the house of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MPA at Wan-Bhachran and thrashed party workers.

Reports said Malik Sajjad Bhachar of PML-N won UC 38/2 chairman slot against Malik Afzal Bhachar of PTI.

On Saturday, Sajjad and his supporters took out a victory rally in violation of the ban and allegedly attacked the outhouse of PTI MPA Malik Ahmed Khan Bhachar in Malkanwala. They resorted to aerial firing and thrashed party workers. The MPA was in Mianwali at the time of the incident.

Later, a number of PTI activists gathered at the outhouse of the MPA who reached there and lodged a complaint with police. When contacted duty official at Wan-Bhachran police station said the SHO was on a patrol. He said no FIR was registered so far. District Police Officer Sarfraz was neither available at his office nor at residence.
