ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Badminton Federation (PBF) on Wednesday organised a coaching course at the Pakistan Sports Complex here with an aim to groom players and coaches.
Asian Badminton Confederation’s development director Sam Banthan delivered a lecture to the coaches and players on the occasion.
He also briefed and taught young badminton players about the rules and tactics of the game.
Banthan said there was a lot of talent in Pakistan but they needed to groom upcoming players. “Better coaches and facilities are needed in this regard,” he said.
He said if women players in Pakistan were provided with good quality coaches and opportunities, they could outclass any player in the world.
The players and coaches said such types of courses should be conducted in Pakistan on regular basis as they were quite helpful. At the end of the lecture, certificates and badminton equipment were distributed among the players and coaches.
