RAWALPINDI: American journalist Mark Siegel would be available on video link on Jan 20, next year in connection with the Benazir Bhutto murder case.

A Foreign Office official informed the anti-terrorism court about the proposed date of Mr Siegel’s cross-examination on his statement given in the case a few weeks ago.

The ATC reserved the decision on a petition filed by the lawyer of a prosecution witness, Ishfaq Khan, for the cross-examination of Mr Siegel over his statement.

The Foreign Office submitted a written statement regarding the proposed schedule of Mr Siegel for his cross-examination, saying he would be available on video link on Jan 20.

The court had asked the Foreign Office to arrange the recording of Mr Siegel’s statement through video link so that his cross-examination could be held.

ATC judge Rai Muhammad Ayub Marth then adjourned the case till Dec 7.
