KARACHI: Well-known social worker Abdul Sattar Edhi on Friday made an impassioned appeal for complete deweaponisation and a weapon-free society in Pakistan.

Except for the law enforcement agencies, he said, all weapons be withdrawn from individuals and groups, regardless of their status and affiliation.

Mr Edhi made this demand while talking to a delegation of ‘Citizens Against Weapons’, a citizens group working towards deweaponisation and a weapon-free society. His message for all Pakistanis was, “Drop all weapons, behave like humans and treat others like humans”.
