LAHORE: The initial post mortem report of the stage actress who was found hanged in her bedroom indicated that she might have been murdered.

A senior official of the forensic department at Jinnah Hospital told Dawn that the initial report suspected it might be the murder case. He said the final report will be compiled on the basis of the analysis by the Punjab Forensic Science Agency.

ASP Muhammad Abdullah said a case was registered against Sangam Rana’s cousin Amna and her two accomplices Kashif and Shan.

To a question he said no one was arrested yet and that they were waiting for the final report.

Earlier, sister-in-law and security guard of stage actress Honey Shahzadi were killed when some unidentified persons opened fire at her house in Johar Town in 2014.

In 2013 stage actress Aarzoo Khan was killed when some motorcyclists opened fire at her car outside a local theatre in Multan.
