Daniel Radcliffe gets a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

BRITISH actor Daniel Radcliffe was awarded a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame — which he called ‘an incredible honour.’

The former child star beamed as he his shiny new star was unveiled in Los Angeles. Daniel earned the 2,565th star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is situated in front of the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

“We (Brits) have a national embarrassment about people saying nice things about us, so I was taken aback at first but then I had a real sense of gratitude,” he told.

“Only about 20 per cent of people who work in film and television end up on the Walk of Fame.

“It’s kind of amazing. I don’t know if they remove these things, but no matter how badly I mess up, they can’t remove it.”

One Direction takes a long off…

SORRY folks, but it looks like the One Direction boys may be gone for a lot longer than fans had originally hoped as Liam Payne has confirmed 1D’s ‘extended hiatus’ will last for two years.

The star let slip the info, which had not previously been confirmed, during a gig for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

He said: “Obviously we’re all going to take a break for a little bit and consider where we are in the world. I just want to write songs…, and we’re going to come back so there’s something to write for as well, for us and other people.”

The boys have previously opened up about the reasons behind their break, revealing they desperately need some time off.

Liam, 22, said: “Basically we are all a bit of a mess.”

Niall Horan, 22, added: “We’ve had five years of craziness. Now we all need to go away, become mad old recluses, then come back again with giant beards.”
