GUJAR KHAN: The local PML-N leadership nominated Shahid Saraf and Khawaja Naeem Qayum as chairman and vice-chairman of Gujar Khan municipal committee.

They were selected in a meeting of the elected councillors of Gujar Khan city 11 elected councillors including Shahid Saraf, Naeem Qayyum, Raja Aftab, Malik Hameed, Khawaja Ejaz, Asif Khan, Imran Butt, Mohammad Irfan, Sohail Ashraf and Khawaja Muzhar Iqbal.

The meeting was also attended by MNA Raja Jawaid Ikhlas and parliamentary secretary cabinet division, Raja Shauket Aziz Bhatti.

The town municipal committee has 19 elected councillors out of which nine were elected on PML-N tickets.

Two independents have joined the ruling party group bringing its tally to 11, giving it a comfortable majority in the house.
