One of Japan’s biggest pop stars, Hatsune Miku, has announced her first headline tour in the US and Canada next year. And what makes it different from other tours is that Miku doesn’t actually exists because she’s a hologram!

Described as a “virtual pop star” the green-haired illusion will be performing a seven-city tour in the US in 2016. Music fans will pack out stadiums for synthesised songs performed by a combination of lights and computer code. Miku is developed by Japanese Music Company Crypton Future Media back in 2007, and boasts 2.5 million Facebook fans.

“With a repertoire entirely provided by individual creators, she is the first truly crowd-created virtual talent,” reads Miku’s website. The name Hatsune Miku means ‘sound from the future’ and could be a brand new model for music industry — one without the musicians.

A long wait for Toy Story …

Toy Story 4 was officially announced by Disney in November 2014, where they claimed it would be released in June 2017. But last month Pixar announced it was being pushed back to June 15, 2018. Sorry folks!

The forthcoming film will focus on the story between Woody and Bo Peep. This time the Sheriff will team up with his sidekick Buzz Lightyear as they try and find his long-lost friend, who was sold at a yard sale.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen had already been signed up for this fourth sequel while Bo Peep is voiced by Annie Potts. However, there is a new entry to the franchise, Patricia Arquette — who is in talks to voice one of the new characters.
