RAWALPINDI: A photographic exhibition documenting the life of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah was hosted by the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on Thursday.
More than a hundred photographs, chronicling Jinnahs’ personal and public life were put on display at the exhibition which aimed at shedding light on the life of the Quaid-i-Azam .
One of the pictures is of the Quaid arriving at Independence Day Celebrations with his sister, Fatima Jinnah. In another picture Mr Jinnah is presiding over a session of the Constituent Assembly. Photographs of Jinnah’s wife and daughter were also part of the exhibition.
MPA Tehseen Fawad inaugurated the show, which was attended by people from the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The MPA commended the RCA for hosting the exhibition.
She said the exhibition would go a long way towards understanding the personality of the Quaid and the other leaders of the Pakistan Movement.
She urged the people to follow in the footsteps of the Quaid-i-Azam and to work hard for the betterment of the country. All the segments of society should end their differences for the development of the country, she added.
The Jinnah Iqbal Fikri Forum chairman, Rana Abdul Baqi, Naheed Manzoor and RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed also paid tribute to the Quaid-i-Azam.
The exhibition will continue till Dec 26.
