KARACHI: A wooden reception is being erected outside the office where the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) president retired Brig Khalid Sajjad Khokhar will sit at the Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium, it emerged on Thursday.

The club has a chequered history and many presidents, including retired Air Marshal Nur Khan, have also set there but the need of a reception doesn’t arise. They only have a peon outside the office.

The carpenters were working daily for the last few days to complete the job before the PHF chief arrives here in the first week of January ahead of the final of the 62nd National Hockey Championship. The event concludes on January 10.—AZ
