KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has named 40 probables for Pakistan Whites hockey camp in preparation for the South Asian Games being held in India next month.
The probables have been asked to report to camp commandant Mohammad Saqlain at the Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium for training on Monday by 8pm. The camp begins from Tuesday.
The probables were announced after getting the nod from the PHF selection committee Rasheed Junior (chief selector), Saeed Khan, Farhat Khan, Waseem Feroz and Qasim Khan (members).
Probables:
Goal-keepers: Imran Butt (PIA), Yasir (Customs), Amjad (NBP), Mazhar Abbas (NBP) and Khurram Majeed (Wapda). Full-backs: Aleem Bilal (Wapda), Irfan (PIA), Kashif Shah (SSGC), Ahsanullah (PIA), Asad Aziz (Navy), Ayaz Lodhi (Balochistan) and Majidullah (Steel Mills).
Half-backs: Rashid (Navy), Fareed (Wapda), Rizwan jr (NBP), Tauseeq (NBP), Junaid Iqbal (PTV), Saleem Nazim (Customs), Murtaza (HEC), Bilal (PTV), Rashid (PTV), Zohaib (Wapda), Taimoor Malik (PIA) and Tasawwar Abbas (Wapda).
Forwards: Shehryar (Railways), Usman (Wapda), Umar Bhutta (Wapda), Rizwan Sr (Army), Kashif Ali (PTV), Kareem Khan (PTV), Sultan Meer (Quetta), Akbar Ali (Navy), Jaffar Ali (Wapda), Hammad Zafar (Army), Haseem (Customs), Bilal (Wapda), Ali Shan (SSGC), Arsalan Qadir (NBP), Samiullah (PAF) and Owais-ur-Rehman).
