Musharraf & Ayyan

Published January 11, 2016

A COUPLE of days ago Pervez Musharraf was invited as a special guest at the premier show of the newly-released Pakistani movie, Ho Man Jahaan. The premiere was also attended by other prominent personalities of the film industry. After the premiere, no action was taken against the organisers of the show for inviting Musharraf who is facing charges in several cases, including violating the Constitution of Pakistan.

On the other hand, when model Ayyan Ali, who is facing charges in the money-laundering case, was invited to Karachi University as a guest, the organiser student was expelled from the university for inviting her.

This shows that implementation of the rule of law is different for civilians and millitary civilians and different for military personnel in our country.
