HYDERABAD: Pir Sahab Pagara Shah Mardan Shah’s 4th death anniversary was observed here on Sunday as speakers at a programme highlighted his marvellous services to the country and Sindh.

Pakistan Muslim League-Functional MPA Nusrat Sehar Abbasi paid a tribute to Pir Pagara and said that he played an important role in protecting the country and always sought peace.

Those who spoke at the programme included Dr Mohammad Farooque Mangrio, son of chief caliph faqir Qadir Bux Mangrio, former provincial adviser Faqir Babar Leghari, PML-F Hyderabad president Afzal Gujjar, PML-F leader Chaudhry Nizamuddin Arain, Hur Jamaat leaders and others. They paid rich tribute to Pir Pagara

Earlier, talking to participants of the programme, JUI-F Taj Mohammad Nahiyoon criticised the Sindh government and said that lawlessness prevailed in the province.

He said that people of Sindh were not aware of the name of the Sindh chief minister and there was rampant corruption while the money of corruption was being sent to abroad.

PML-F MPA Nusrat Sehar Abbasi said that if the governor rule was imposed in Sindh, it was just because of Mr Zardari’s league as this Mr Zardari’s league had ended the PPP and was trying to derail democracy.

She said that if any alliance was formed, or governor rule was imposed, anti-democratic forces would be held responsible for them.
