SIALKOT: A mad dog bit at least 35 people, including women and children, in different localities of the city early on Thursday.

Reports said that all the victims were bitten when they were on a morning walk in Hajipura, Naikapura, Rangpura, Gao Shala, Circular Road, Railway Road and surrounding areas.

A dog hunting staff of the tehsil municipal administration could not locate and kill the mad dog till the evening. The injured were admitted to the DHQ Hospital.

Doctors said that all victims were discharged after anti-rabies administration.

HANGED: A convict was hanged in the district jail here on Thursday.

A jail official said that Sajid Hameed had killed Amjad in Civil Lines in Gujranwala in 2003 over a monetary dispute.

The convict was the resident of Kotli Bawa Faqeer Chand, Pasrur tehsil.
