QUETTA: A law enforcement agency (LEA) arrested over 30 people, most of them Afghan nationals, in the border town of Chaman on Thursday for illegally crossing into Pakistani territory.

LEA officials said that they had intensified vigilance on the Afghan border in Chaman area in the wake of Wednesday’s terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda.

“Around 30 people have been arrested for having crossed the border illegally,” they said.

Most of them were Afghan nationals who could not produce any travel documents.
