CHARSADDA: The multi-party conference (MPC) demanded on Wednesday a judicial inquiry into the Bacha Khan University attack, compensation for victims of the attack on the pattern of the Army Public School victims, remuneration of tuition fees of students, foolproof security in all educational institutions and withdrawal of cases against heads of schools.

The demands were made in a joint declaration approved by the MPC here.

The MPC was called by the Charsadda chapter of the Jamaat-i-Islami at the residence of former JI MPA Arshad Khan.

The MPC was attended by JI district chief Misbahullah, JUI district chief Maulana Muhammad Hashim Khan, MNA Maulana Gohar Shah, QWP leader MPA Sultan Muhammad Khan, PML-N district president Mian Humayun Shah, district nazim of Charsadda Fahad Khanb, PTI leader and district councillor Shahidullah Khan, Bacha Khan University Academic director Bangash, Traders’ Alliance president Maulna Salahuddin Shakir, SHO of City police station Imran Khan, journalist leaders and councillors and social society members.

The MPC expressed sympathy with bereaved families and demanded compensation for victims on the pattern of APS victims.

They stressed the need for unity among the people to frustrate designs of militants and enemies of Pakistan. They said all political parties and civil and military administration should come on the same page over the issue. They also demanded of the government to change its policies and adopt these in accordance with aspirations of the people.
