BAHAWALPUR: Sahibzada Sultan of Jhang won the Cholistan Jeep Rally which ended near Drawar Fort, 70km from here, on Sunday evening.

Arooni Patel from Karachi stood second and Nadeem Naeem third.

Defending champion Nadir Magsi could not make it to the finish line after his vehicle broke down halfway.

Jamila Asif won the women’s event while Husna Patel, wife of Arooni, remained second.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood distributed prizes. The winner was given Rs300,000 cash, runner-up Rs 200,000 and second runner-up Rs 100,000.
