DERA GHAZI KHAN: Students of the Ghazi Khan Medical College continued their protest on the sixth consecutive day (Tuesday) to press the authorities for accreditation of the institution with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

A number of students took out a rally and marched on the Commissioner’s Office, where they chanted slogans. MNA Jamshed Dasti visited the protest camp and criticised the Punjab government for marginalising south Punjab.

Representatives of the PPP, PTI, JI, District Bar Association members and former chief minister Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa also visited the protest camp.

On the request of the DBA members, the commissioner came out of his office and held out an assurance that he would take up the case with the higher authorities.
