QUETTA: At least two people were killed in a firing incident whereas four bodies were recovered in Chaman district of Balochistan on Friday.

Police sources told DawnNews that three bullet-riddled bodies were recovered in the Shakha Dara area of Chaman. All bodies received multiple bullet wounds, the source added.

Another bullet-riddled body was recovered in Toba Achakzai.

All four bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Chaman for postmortem examination.

The bodies could not be immediately identified, said police.

Police personnel reached Shakha Dara area as a probe into the incidents went under way.

The motive behind the deaths could not be immediately ascertained, police sources said.

Another two people were killed in a separate firing incident in the Dilsora Karez area of Chaman on Friday morning.

Police said armed men opened fire at a vehicle, killing two men before speeding away on their motorcycle. Police and levies reached the spot and shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital Chaman.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.

Low intensity bomb explosions and recovery of mutilated dead bodies have been reported from Chaman over the past few years.
