KARACHI: Foundation Public School defeated Bay View Academy I 3-0 while CAS beat Beacon House II 3-0 in the under-15 age group quarter-finals to enter the semis of the Peek Freans Gluco Tennis Tournament organised by Perfect Strokes at the Karachi Gymkhana tennis courts on Sunday.

In other quarter-final matches, Farooq of Beacon House I faced stiff competition from Ibrahim of Bay View Academy II before finally prevailing 11-9 to put his team one up.

Beacon House I then prevailed 3-0 over Bay View Academy II to enter the semi-finals against Foundation Public School. The day witnessed some entertaining tennis in the 16-18 age group. Bahria College overcame Beacon House after going one down in the singles when Saeed defeated Mobeen 11-7.

Bahria levelled when Talha beat Hania and then Mobeen and Talha teamed up to defeat Saeed and Hania in the doubles. In other matches, Nixor College beat Karachi American School, Ali Public prevailed over Lyceum and Cedar College I beat Cedar College II after the quarter-final went into the deciding doubles encounter.

The semi-finals will be held on Feb 27.
