Councillors meet: The All Councillors Ittehad Topi organised a meeting here on Thursday to resolve the problems of the residents of the area.

The meeting, presided over by Deputy Commissioner Matiullah Khan, was attended by heads of 20 government departments including District Police Officer Javed Iqbal and District Education Officer Jan Mohammad besides MPA Shiraz Khan and Topi tehsil nazim Sohail Yousufzai.

The councillors told the residents of the area to apprise the MPA and heads of departments of their problems so that those could be resolved.

It was for the first time since the formation of local government that the officials of different departments gathered on a platform to face the people and hear their complaints.

In the total 121000-kanal of land, 14,500-kanal was given to Ghazi Barotha while the remaining land was allocated to Tarbela Dam,” said the MPA. He said that people of the area would struggle to get Rs107 million power royalty of Topi.
