Another Pakistani batsman learns from his mistakes:
Sami bowled two no-balls in a crucial over against Bangladesh. Here he demonstrates how playing football actually lengthened his legs by at least 3.5 inches. Wasn’t his fault:
Former Test batsman, Khurram Manzoor, reacts after being told that he’s been selected in the Pakistan T20 squad:
Hafeez in deep thought after failing with the bat again:
The manager found a new way to discipline the batsmen — Good old-fashioned spanking:

Pakistan batsman need a mentor who will sit with them and advice, the game is not about sixes or some fours first occupied your crease for sometime rotate the strike and when wickets in hand you can score 8-10 runs per over I don't know why Afridi is with the team what is his role no runs from bat not doing any great any bowling as well.

@Akram agree they know how to play but they don't know how strategically play. Instead hitting every ball out of the boundary singles and doubles can help them to retain there batting confidence. What coach is doing if he can't teach them that how to build game with singles and doubles or simply by rotating the strike.

Just the ability to hold a bat or run with a ball in the hand is not cricket anyways.

As long as there's Afridi there's no hope. Pak team has only performed well under a captain whose performance has been good. Imran Khan, Wasim, Misbah all led from the front they set a exemplary tone on the field. As a nation we always needed someone to guide us and in whose footsteps we can just follow. That's why the role of a good captain is very significant for Team Pakistan. Afridi doesn't deserve to be in the squad anymore. Sports is about Adapt and respond. This man has taken 19 years FFS and still he is in shambles. There are lots of youngster dying to make a name for themselves and for the country bring them in. But no Afridi wont be dropped because he is bringing in lots of money in the form of Sponsors and PR. For God's sake save Pak Cricket it's more than just a sport for us.

DISAPPOINTING .............
They r not behaving or playing like an international cricketer.
People playing on roads are far more better than them but problem is that who is going to pick them up .......
Afridi .... we do not want to see u more in cricket ...... very poor cricketing sense he has ..... totally nonsense after spending so many years in cricket.
Its time to bring some real good players and train them irrespective we lose but we need to build our team again .....
I want to see Asad Shafiq, Fawad Alam, Khalid latif, Hammad Azam, Zulfiqar babar, Harris Sohail, and other good players who should be consistently giving performances in domestic ..... all they need is time and some good exposure.

As far as bowling is concerned ..... that was not bad at all ..... yes there are areas where the improvements are required ... some of them are (cool headed, change of pace, yorkers, bouncers) .... One need to apply these qualities very smartly but again for all these deliveries one has to practice and practice and practice.
Fielding standard is also very very very poor. We can not compete with big guns in this fashion.
AFRIDI ..... does not know them meaning of captain ..... A man who can lead from front and set a very high example for their team mates and for Pakistan.

Stop defending Afridi from any of the angles .......
Your justification is simply weaken our Pakistan cricket.
Get out of it and start believing in others and make them stars by making them first a good asset for Pakistan and after that their performance speaks out loud .....

That is the biggest question ..... why he does not bat so long ...... what is the problem in that ..... he has just to take and survive 3 overs and all he wants to support the other batsman .....
Afridi loves to play less overs but now he even not getting runs in for 3 overs ..... very poor

These are moments when people should realize the real value of Misbah. Limited overs teams of Pakistan needs a Misbah like captain (not Misbah surely, he is too old now) who has a calm mind and good cricketing brain. A person who will be able to control the energy flow of youngsters and steady the ship when needed. Imagine a team having a world class bowling attack, decent batsmen like Umar, Malik etc. with a charismatic Afridi can test a defeat against Bangladesh. Problem is in the captain and coach of T20 team.

Very nice as usual. Jokes apart drop Afridi, Hafeez and Sami. Keep Waqar as bowling coach only. Appoint good batting and fielding coaches. Appoint psychiatrist. Shoaib Malik is doing reasonably well of late, retain him for sometime and look for young brilliant fielders and batsmen, who are ever willing to learn. Take back Yasir Shah once his bowling style is accepted.
Pakistan needs committed players and certainly not celebrities. This advice is also applicable to India and Sri Lanka for that matter. Best of luck.

I am sick to my stomach to see the performance of the cricket team and the role played by the PCB.
It is satirical to see quintessential pursuits of our players over and over again and they expect variant outcome.
The realty actuality is players with substantially large earnings don't have the affection nor the priority to play at International standards.
Only the underprivileged and literate can understand the values of playing for the nation.
When Hafeez falls for ducks in every other series and Afridi hits every other ball to give catch from the last 20 years then you can only expect worst from the newcomers.
Wining uplifts the moral of the Nation and helps the Nations motivate to do well in their daily life.
Loosing plays a crucial role in putting people in depression.

I think, we should make Misbah the captain for T20 world cup. We were performing better in T20 while he was the captain. He even won the PSL series. He commands respect amongst the players and will not lose his wicket. He is such an honorable gentleman that he supported Afridi to stay as captain.
With Afridi, we won't make it to quarter finals, lets be realistic. Afridi won't change, he hasn't changed in 19 years. He just doesn't have it in him to win matches. Also time to bring back Mohammad Asif in the attack. I'm tired of hypocrites who would rather see Pakistan suffer than forgive a soul.

I do not think that it is all Afridi's fault but the entire administration but again all of the administration did not come on merit like Imran Khan said. As long as we continue to neglect true talent and merit based selection we will continue to have such problems. Enjoy the article as it is funny how everything is turning in our country. No planning but pure luck, how a Head Coach can stay in his place with one failure after another. We are better off bringing real cricketers who at least know how to run this as a business. I truly believe it is time to bring Viv Richards our head coach and we need to show door to Mr. Waqar Younis for sure and tell him to go back and be a commentator that is the extent of his abilities

Pakistan actually played well until the last 3 or 4 overs when they started buckling to pressure and conceded runs. With just 2 overs to go, BD needed to make more than 20 runs and match was evenly poised.
Then came that disastrous over with 2 no balls and everything changed. All of a sudden Pakistan's fielding was not good enough.
I think, among other things, Pakistani cricketers need training to withstand pressure, especially for the young lot who are talented but not exposed to kind of pressure you are under when playing in the Subcontinent.

I think you are being very unfair.
At one point when Afridi brought in Md Amir and latter got an immediate wicket in his very first over, everyone praised Afridi. Shaoib Malik also got a wicket and that decision too was the right one.
Is it in Afridi's hand that there were misfieldings, no balls, dropped catches.
I think he bowled well even though he has failed misearably with his bat.
It is time he is retired. He is too old for T20. But the failure is a combined failure not of just Afridi.
