KHUZDAR: Two people were killed in separate attacks by armed men on motorcycles in Khuzdar district on Wednesday, officials said.

Mohammad Alam was on his way home in his car when he came under fire in Baghbana area. The body was taken to the district hospital Khuzdar.

The motive for the murder is said to be an old enmity.

No arrest was reported.

In the other incident, a young man employed at a restaurant on Quetta-Karachi National Highway suffered injuries in an attack by gunmen who came on a motorcycle.

Abdul Ghafoor Mirwani, 25, was taken to the district hospital where he died.

The cause of the attack could not be ascertained.

“We are investigating the incident,” police said, adding that the attackers escaped from the scene after firing.
