HAFR AL-BATIN: Heads of state from across the Muslim world gathered in Saudi Arabia on Friday for the conclusion of a nearly three-week-long counter-terrorism military exercise that included 20 participating countries.
The prime minister, along with leaders of the other participating nations, watched the contingents march past the stage, a press release from the PM House said.
Pakistan’s fighter aircraft performed aerobatics, including a performance by two JF-17 Thunders and the Sherdil formation with its eight Karakoram-8 aircraft.
SSG Commandos performed free fall exercises. They jumped from helicopters, carrying flags of the countries participating in the exercise.

The sherdils performance is awesome, great pic in action. These are Karalorum-8, a another joint production with China. Undoubtedly, the coalition would have been in awe of the J 17 thunder aerobatics.

@Kamal . Non. It is logic of history. 1.7 billion Muslim people can not and will not remain without a " Center of Gravity". OIC was created after the burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque . After the present crisis there will be a platform for converging political and military effort at one point. The 20- country military exercise was harbinger of that institutions.
It will happen , Inshallah.

Please don't use our armed forces to resolve Syrian conflict. That conflict can only be resolved by Iranians and Saudis/Gulf state.

This is a display to show all the countries who want to maintain a certain style of relationship with Al Saud's
The new Saudi ruling elite is hawkish, decisive and short sighted. The show is against Iran and allies
Fact is that the Americans are pulling out of the Middle East to a degree and Russians are filling that void instead and this leaves both Saudis and Israelis very worried
Result is many lives lost and region going further backward. I hope Saudis would start to divert these resources to educate their masses vs Speading extremist ideas around the globe.

Pakistan as the only Muslim nuclear-weapon state has enormous responsibility for "peace and stability" in the world. Pakistan's highly disciplined and trained Army and Air Force participated in the three week counter-terrorism military exercise in Saudi Arabia, to enable Muslim countries develop combined counter-terrorism military strategy. General Raheel Sharif is the most respected and successful military leader in the world, his participation showed his unflinching resolve and commitment to win the war on terror. This is certainly not directed against any state, it is only against terror groups which have unleashed death and destruction in Muslim countries, more than others. Pakistan as the front-line state against the global War on Terror, has a vital role to help others deal with this threat to peace and stability in the region and the world.

@Kamal The coalition should not be against any country. It should be against aggression towards any of the member nation, and not just aggression towards Saudia. It should take leads from NATO's policies. We must not use this coalition as a means of aggression towards any body but for defense purposes only.

A great exercise indeed, but the fact is that you only see ONE army standing out here, The Pakistan Army. The rest of the troops look kinda like the supporting cast.

@BRR: Your comment is like a breath of fresh air from across the border. We hope and pray our forces are never ever pitched against each other and Pakistan and India can be close brotherly countries like so many countries in the West. @Gaurav: Thanks bro. @Ravi: yes we are aware of this - Arabs also know thats why they had us in there, otherwise, we are not equals. But thats okay, we as Pakistanis have come to understand that at a global level we are lesser mortals and if there is anyone who can help us, it is ourselves !!!

@butterfly: you have a point, but if you look at Pakistan carefully, look at the budget outlays and the amount thats dissipated due to corruption, you will understand that we are poor not because of our security establishment, we are poor because of ineptness, nepotism, inefficiency and corruption of our rulers (both civilian and military) and ruling/elite class that would not let us do away with a stratified society with equal educational and learning opportunities for everyone.
