LAHORE: The Punjab Dental Association has urged the authorities to ensure that no quack gets registration under the Punjab Healthcare Commission.

“Some dental technicians, hygienists and assistants have applied for registration with the Punjab Healthcare Commission. They cannot do so under the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council rules. They can only assist a registered dental surgeon,” the association said in a meeting here on Monday.

It praised the healthcare commission for launching campaign against quacks.

The meeting was attended by Dr Irham Chohan (president), Dr Rana Zafar (secretary), Prof Dr Wahidul Hameed and Dr Ghazanfar Malik.
