Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will be a trilogy

JK Rowling has delighted Harry Potter fans by confirming Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will be a trilogy. The celebrated writer, who created the magical literary universe in which the film is based, shared the news on Twitter.

Not only did Rowling write the book it’s adapted from, but Fantastic Beasts marks her first foray into screenwriting.

The film centres on Newt Scamander, a magizoologist who accidentally lets loose some fantastic beasts in 1930s New York, causing trouble in magic and non-maj (muggle) relations.

Eddie Redmayne takes on the lead with Katherine Waterston, Colin Farrell and Samantha Morton playing supporting roles. Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them hits cinemas on November 16.

Go go Power Rangers!

Power Rangers fans rejoice! The crime-fighting crew are back in 21st Century form — and here’s your first look at the new line-up.

The rebooted version of the ever-popular TV series features a cast of relative unknowns, with RJ Cyler as Billy (Blue Ranger), Becky Gomez (aka pop star Becky G) as Trini (Yellow Ranger) and Naomi Scott as Kimberly (Pink Ranger).

They’re joined by actor Ludi Lin as Zack (Black Ranger) and Dacre Montgomery as Jason (Red Ranger), completing the line-up.

Director Dean Israelite told that the rebooted version portrays the quintet as ‘disparate and disenfranchised’ students — who are not friends at the start of the film.

And that’s not the only thing that’s changed —as their Power Ranger costumes are also getting a makeover.

The film also stars Elizabeth Banks as the Rangers’ adversary Rita Repulsa, and opens on March 24, 2017.
