LAHORE: The re-organisation process of the ruling PML-N is pending for want of a report Adviser to the PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz was assigned to do a few months ago.

The PML-N’s re-organisation is overdue for the last couple of years. Election rules demand that a party, desirous of contesting general elections, must have held intra-party polls within three years before the polls.

It is learnt that Mr Aziz has suggested in the yet to be finalised report that a membership campaign should be held six months before the party elections. The polling process should start from the primary units and go up to city/district, provincial and central levels, it proposes.

Mr Aziz had prepared a similar report for the intra-party polls held in 2013.
