LAHORE: PML-Q senior leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had been sending saris to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, who in return was dispatching intelligence agents.

“The silence of Mr Sharif over the arrest of an Indian official is quite meaningful. The intelligence agencies should be given credit for breaking the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) network in Balochistan,” he said at a press conference here on Sunday.

Elahi said Shahbaz had suddenly realised to visit hospitals and schools after eight years in power.

“The PML-N government allocated not enough funds to either hospitals or schools in Punjab, thus destroying the entire system,” he alleged.

To a question about the Metro bus and Orange Line train, the former deputy prime minister said the chief minister should know what his first priority is. “Shahbaz Sharif is the chief minister of the whole province, not just Lahore,” he added.
