Netball coaching and umpiring course held

KARACHI: As many as sixty coaches and umpires participated in the recently held national netball coaching & umpiring course at the PSB Coaching Centre.

The high-profile course was jointly organised by the Pakistan Netball Federation and the Pakistan Sports Board in collaboration with the National Umpiring & Coaching Association.

Mohammad Rafiq Pirzada, Director, PSB Karachi, was the chief guest at the opening ceremony and declared the course open in a very colorful atmosphere.

Several PNF officials imparted lectures on various aspects of the game.

President PNF Mudassar Arain lectured the participants about the basic netball rules while Mohammad Riaz (fitness), Maqbool Ahmed (coaching), Anwar Ahmed (umpiring), Khalid Pervaiz, Shazia Yousuf (discipline) and Shahid Amin (scoring and powerplay) were the other speakers during the course.

All instructors also physically demonstrated the various techniques of netball.

Later, a written test was also conducted to assess the knowledge of the participants.
