KARACHI/HYDE-RABAD: Sindh High Court Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah has sacked two judges and suspended another for misconduct.

Official sources told Dawn that sessions judge Romana Siddiqui and senior civil judge Ashraf Yar Khan were found guilty of obtaining unauthorised leave and the major penalty of “compulsory retirement” was imposed on them.

The CJ suspended the judge of the Accountability Court, Hyderabad, Aijaz Ali Khaskheli, and directed him to report to the SHC.

Judge Khaskheli had recently summoned Hyderabad Commissioner Qazi Shahid Pervez over a matter involving construction of the compound wall of the judge’s official residence.

The SHC is the parent department of judges of the accountability courts in the province. Judge Khaskheli was additional district judge-III, Hyderabad, before he was appointed accountability court judge.
