RAWALPINDI, Dec 29: Latest pop sensation, Jawad Ahmad, enthralled about 1,400 people with his melodious numbers at the lone five-star hotel in the city Friday evening.

The concert, held in the midst of the canopied eastern lawn of the hotel, was largely attended by people of different age groups.

However, the youngsters formed the bulk of the audience.

Jawad took to the stage, festooned with lights and tinsels, at 9pm and mesmerized his fans with his catchy numbers for two- and-a-half hours. A crowd of youngsters gathered near the podium and danced to the Punjabi songs performed by him.

He kicked off the evening with ‘Allah Ho Allah Ho’, followed by ‘Uchiyan Maja jan Wali’, ‘Bin Teray Kiya Jeena’ and many other of his hit songs.

However, the two songs that captivated the audience were ‘Oh Kehndi Hai Saiyan Mein Teri Aan’ and Allah Merey Dil Key Andar’ He also sang various other songs on the request of his fans.

Most of the songs performed by Jawad were from his second album.

Jawad recently made his debut as music director by giving scores for Shaan’s latest film, ‘Moosa Khan’.

Earlier, newcomers, Shahzad and Tanweer, entertained the audience with Punjabi songs. They were accompanied by Faisal on the key-boards, Raheel on base-guitar and Shakil on drums.
