COAS gives away gallantry awards

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Raheel Sharif conferred military awards on army personnel for acts of gallantry during the ongoing Operation Zarb-i-Azb at a ceremony held at the General Headquarters on Thursday.

A large number of military officials and relatives of martyrs attended the investiture ceremony.

Thirty-five officers and soldiers were awarded the Tamgha-i-Basalat, 35 officers were awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (military) and five officers and soldiers were decorated with the UN medal.
