ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is organising a physical conditioning and skills specialisation national junior U-21 camp at Tobe Camp/Abbottabad from April 24 to May 10.
“I am not satisfied with the fitness level of our players — both senior and junior. The basic purpose of this camp is to provide a platform to youngsters to improve their fitness level besides learning and improving their skills,” said Shahbaz Ahmed, PHF secretary.
He said the PHF will send the junior team to Europe after the camp for getting international exposure ahead of the World Cup.
The PHF has invited following probables to attend the camp under the supervision of Tahir Zaman.
Goalkeepers: Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Ali Raza, Roman Khan, Hafiz Ali Umair and Usman Ghani.
Fullbacks: M. Atif Mushtaq, Hassan Anwar, Zahid Ullah, Faisal Shah, Abid Bhatti, Amjad Khan and Mubashir Ali.
Halves: Abu Bakar Mahmood, Faizan, M. Junaid Kamal, M. Usman, M. Qasim, Ali Raza, Tanzeem-ul-Hassan, Sohail Sheraz, M. Adnan and Ghazanfar Ali.
Forwards: Shan Irshad, Azfar Yaqoob, M. Dilber, M. Atiq, Bilal Qadir, Mohsin Sabir, Rana Sohail, Fahad Ullah, Sami Ullah, Amir Ali, M. Sheharyar, M. Rizwan, Bilal Mahmood, M. Naveed, Saran Ben Qamar, Khair Ullah, Zeeshan Bukhari and Umar Hamdi.
