LAYYAH: Police raided a pesticide packing unit in connection with 26 deaths and recovered a huge quantity of banned selfonyl urea with the brand name of Drown in Chowk Azam on Tuesday.

Karor DSP Rameez Bukhari told Dawn that on the disclosure of a number of people held during investigation, police raided pesticide dealer Maqbool Traders in Chowk Azam and seized a big quantity of selfonyl urea.

They arrested Maqbool Jatt, his younger brother Naseem Jutt and their five employees.

Police also seized the packing machinery.
