Musharraf invites political leaders

ISLAMABAD, Dec 29: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has invited leaders of various political parties on Sunday for discussion on the current situation and consultation.

Invitations to Pakistan People’s Party, Pakistan Muslim League, Millat Party, Muttehida Qaumi Movement, Jamiat Ulema Pakistan, Awami National Party, Tehrik-i-Insaf, Pakistan Awami Party, Tahrik-i-Istaqlal and other parties have been issued.

Zafarul Haq: On the government’s invitation, chairman Pakistan Muslim League, Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq, will meet President General Pervez Musharraf on Sunday.

While talking to newsmen here on Saturday, Raja Zafarul Haq said that his party had always given the national interest top priority, therefore, he will meet the president without any condition.

The PML chairman said that the consultations are going on with the party president Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and other leaders about this meeting. He said that the final decision in this regard would be taken on Sunday morning.
